Comparison

A Sprout Social alternative for teams that only need the comments

Sprout Social is a full publishing and analytics suite priced from about $199 per seat per month as of 5 August 2026. If what you actually use is the inbox, you are paying for a publishing calendar to get it, and paying again for every person who helps clear it.

The two real differences

Pricing model. Sprout charges per seat. Replim charges per workspace, from $29 a month, with seats included in the plan. On a team of four, that is the entire comparison.

What lands in the queue. A recurring criticism of Sprout's Smart Inbox is that everything arrives together, keyword searches included, which makes prioritising hard. Replim's queue holds comments only, ordered by intent rather than recency.

When Sprout is the right answer

Plainly: if you need scheduling, deep analytics, approval workflows, or coverage of X and TikTok, Sprout does things Replim does not and will not soon. Replim is also pre-launch, which Sprout is emphatically not. Our build status lists what is finished and what is not, and you should read it before switching anything that matters.

Replim is the better fit when the comment queue is the job, the team is small enough that per-seat pricing hurts, and you already publish elsewhere.

Questions people ask

How much does Sprout Social cost?

Plans start at roughly $199 per seat per month as of 5 August 2026. Check their site for current pricing, as it changes.

What is the cheapest Sprout Social alternative?

Metricool and SocialPilot start around $20 to $26 a month, and Replim starts at $29 a month per workspace. The cheapest option depends heavily on whether you are billed per seat or per workspace.

Is there a Sprout Social alternative that only does comments?

Yes. Replim handles comments from Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube and deliberately does not publish or schedule posts.

Why is Sprout Social so expensive?

It is priced per seat and bundles publishing, analytics, listening and workflow features. If you use all of it the price is defensible; if you only use the inbox you are paying for the rest.

Can I move from Sprout Social without losing my scheduled posts?

Not directly. Replim does not publish posts, so a scheduling tool stays part of your stack if you need one.

Try it on your own comments
